The adjustment will see a 4.6% rise across key thresholds, impacting eligibility for various skilled visa programs. The changes are as follows:

  • Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): Increasing to $76,515

  • Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): Increasing to $76,515

  • Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): Increasing to $141,210

These updates reflect the government's commitment to maintaining fair wage standards and ensuring that skilled migration remains aligned with current labour market conditions. For employers, it will be crucial to review salary offerings to ensure compliance with the new thresholds. For migrants, meeting the updated income criteria will be an essential part of a successful visa application.

Stay informed and plan ahead to ensure a smooth transition under the new rules starting 1 July 2025.
