Skilled Visa Income Thresholds to Rise from 1 July 2025

In an important update for skilled migrants and sponsoring employers, the Australian Government has announced an increase in income thresholds for skilled visas, effective 1 July 2025.

The adjustment will see a 4.6% rise across key thresholds, impacting eligibility for various skilled visa programs. The changes are as follows:
Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): Increasing to $76,515
Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): Increasing to $76,515
Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): Increasing to $141,210
These updates reflect the government's commitment to maintaining fair wage standards and ensuring that skilled migration remains aligned with current labour market conditions. For employers, it will be crucial to review salary offerings to ensure compliance with the new thresholds.
