These are special deals between the Australian Government and approved employers. They let you bring in skilled workers from overseas when local workers aren’t available and the normal visa programs don’t fit your needs.

1. First, the government makes an agreement with the region’s representative (like a council or regional authority). 

2. Then, businesses in that area can apply under that agreement. 

The best part? A DAMA can give you more occupations to choose from and flexible requirements you can’t get in the standard visa program. 

It’s ideal for regional businesses needing both skilled and semi-skilled workers. 

3. Industry Labour Agreements 

These are for whole industries that have ongoing shortages, like: 

• Aged care 

• Farming and agriculture 

• Fishing 

• Hospitality and premium dining 

• And more… 

The rules for each industry are already set and can’t be changed, but they’re designed to make it easier for employers to bring in the right people when there’s a shortage.
